Espina visited Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1) wherein Police Chief Superintendent Roman A. Felix, Regional Director accorded him with simple but meaningful program this morning (March

5). In his message, PDDG Espina stressed that his visit is purposely to rally all his men to move on after the painful episode brought by the Mamasapano incident. As professional policemen whom our people depend on for their safety and security, life must go on for all of us. We have to continue, move on as one; never forgetting what happened, but let us move on for the sake of our people,the OIC, PNP added. He also reminded his personnel to always maintain discipline in all their undertakings for they are look upon as defenders. I want each and every member of the PNP to always observe proper decorum, yong pagka-disiplina, ugali, morality and personality,he said. The OIC, PNP likewise conferred the Medalya ng Papuri (Commendation Medal) to the six (6) members of La Union police in recognition of their excellent teamwork in arresting the six (6) suspects in a shooting spree in Agoo, La Union on February 24, 2015 that killed six (6) people. PDDG Espina bestowed the award to Senior Superintendent Ramon L. Rafael, Provincial Director of La Union Police Provincial Office (LUPPO); Superintendent Eduardo L. Danguecan, La Union Intelligence Chief; Chief Inspector Artemio C. Infante, Agoo Police Stations Chief; Senior Police Officer 4 Rainer Anthony V. Awkit; SPO2 Johny V. Silen; and, PO2 Efren B. Macadaeg. PCSupt. Felix said, the accomplishment is a manifestation of the awardeesdedication to their sworn duties and mandated tasks.Giving them the appropriate award is the most we can do to recognize and compensate their sacrifices they made in ensuring safety of the community,he added. Earlier, Felix commended the La Union police and expressed satisfaction over the positive development of said case which led to the filing of Multiple Murder and Multiple Frustrated Murder Cases against the arrested suspects docketed under IS Number I-02a-INQ-15B-00047 on February 27, 2015, even as he reminded his men to continue sustaining the PRO1s anti-criminality initiatives.
